Polygons and Memory Verses!

Spring Break is here! Please pray for safe travels for students going home to families (some in limited access countries), staff traveling to a conference or small vacations, and MISSION TRIPS! BFA is sending 107 students, 26 staff to 9 different countries to impact the world for Christ! Please pray for healthy bodies, safe travels, unity, opportunities to minister to others, and that those going would have servants' hearts. These mission trips include locations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Eastern Europe.

Teaching Middle School students continues to be a rewarding experience and I am enjoying every moment! 6th grade has been busy studying Geometry and designing a Polygon Collage (pictured above). They just completed a chapter on classifying angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons. They will begin studying area after Spring Break. The 7th graders are beginning to study area and will also be developing their own 3-D shape! 8th grade students are also studying Geometry on a deeper level and sketching stained glass windows which will be beautiful!

I am also posting a short video of our chapel yesterday. Mr. Jay Adams was back! He hands out verses to the students and recites verses! Students give Mr. Adams a Bible reference printed on a card which he recites word for word. If he makes one or no mistakes, the student recites a verse back from their memory and receives a large chocolate bar! Candy was flying yesterday along with verses and lots of fun before Spring Break began!! The video is kind of long, so you may only want to watch a small piece:)
