Bible Verses in Chapel: Let the fun begin!

We have a special chapel a few times a year when Mr. Adams visits out Middle School!

Mr. Adams does a lot of work in Romania and serves with Habitat for Humanity. He leads one of our high school mission trips to Romania every year to help out with building projects. They have built schools, playgrounds, bathrooms, and much more. This year, they plan to tear down an old fence and build a new one among other projects. This particular mission trip is coordinated with students from BFA and from a local German school as well.

When Mr. Adams shows up, our students get so excited and are eagerly waiting to hear and recite scripture....along with opportunities to receive chocolate! Verses are handed to students and when Mr. Adams calls on a student, the child gives a reference. If Mr. Adams does not recite the verse perfectly, the student gets a small chocolate bar. If the student can recite a verse back to Mr. Adams, he/she gets a large chocolate bar! Mr. Adams also tells stories about the very first verse he memorized and how it has impacted his life. Our students do not want him to leave as they enjoy hearing scripture, reciting verses, and of course, getting chocolate! Even with the fun treats, out students realize the importance of memorizing scripture which is also a part of our Bible curriculum and for the 5th graders who are still involved in Awana for one more year.

I have attached a few videos so you can see and experience a small taste of what chapel is like with Mr. Adams. Enjoy!
