Each year, the Middle School at Black Forest Academy hosts a Spiritual Emphasis Week in January. The chaplain's team prays and invites a speaker and worship leader to come and share Christ with our students. This year, Tommy Bresson was the speaker and Lance Dockery the worship leader. Tommy was an Resident Assistent (RA) in the dorm then a guidance counselor at the high school for 5 years. He and his wife now work in Geneva with Young Life.
Lance was our worship leader last year and returned this year to lead in worship! He and his family are appointed to come this fall (fall 2019) to fill a role in the Chaplain's office.
Tommy spoke about how to best love others around us. He used stories from Mark; the four friends who brought their paralytic friend to Jesus, to show how we can love in actions, words and acceptance.
Would you continue to pray for our Middle School students this year? That God would continue to impact their hearts to follow Him wholeheartedly?
Our School also had a visit from the Mayor of Kandern, Dr. Renkert. Our director, Gavin Bretteny, was showing him around our Middle School areas. The two pictures below are where I was teaching my 7th graders math last year! Another amazing teacher, Tracy picked out the green furniture. Isn't it fun? Brightens up the room.
