I walked in my door just a few minutes ago from teaching in an empty school to students in the surrounding area with my computer. I spent Tuesday prepping with scanning textbook pages to PDF to Google Drive to Kami then to Google Classroom. I have learned a lot of new technology in the past few days!
Today was our first day teaching remotely with teachers all over the Kandern area and students all over the world (mostly high school). As I reflect on the past few days, there are a quite of few things I am thankful for;
- God!! He's got this in spite of what we see as chaos! We can rest in Him!
- Ms. G!!! Who does Digital Interactive Notebooks (DINs) with her students so they understand the technology I am using. She teaches mostly 6th grade.
- My students!! Some students have not experienced Ms. G's DINs and their peers stepped in and talked them through what to do.
- My own amazing abilities to figure out new technology and have success in setting up my digital classroom! Still shocked I figured it out!
- My colleagues who are so supportive and going through the same struggles!
- You! Thank you for your faithful prayers!! I am lifting you up as well. :)
Our director, Gavin Brettenny delivers encouragement and an overview of how BFA is adjusting to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
May God continue to direct our steps as we move forward.
