Come and See What God Has Done!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Luke 1:49
for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.

Psalm 126:2-3
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said amount the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them." The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 Samuel 12:24
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.

I could list so many more verses about what God has done for the world and for me! I heard Lauren Daigle sing "Noel" on the radio as I was driving home and I thought how sweet it is to look and see what God has done! I thought I would list some of the things he has done in my life and perhaps you will make your own list. What an incredible thing to do as 2024 ends and we step into a New Year!

  • God sent his Son, over 2,000 years ago as a baby born to lowly parents and kept in a rough animal feedbox.
  • Jesus gave his life to rescue me from my sin when he died on the cross, and rose back to life. Because of his sacrifice, myt relationship with the Father is restored and I am seen as righteous.
  • Though I still struggle with sin everyday, Christ gives me the strength to flee temptation and live for him. When I do sin, as I do, Christ offers continued forgiveness from my sin. God is so good!
  • My name is written in the Book of Life, never to be erased! I have eternal life!
  • In God's grace, he provided me with godly, parents who though, imperfect, lead me and my siblings to give our lives to Christ and to live for him. My parents were also incredible blessed to have godly parents who modeled Christ for them. I am so thankful for the godly legacy they have left.
  • I am so thankful that my brothers are each walking with the Lord and desire to honor and serve the Lord with their lives. I am also thankful for my sister-in-law as well! For her walk with the Lord and the sweet relationship she has with my brother.
  • I am thankful for so many brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, who are sacrificially giving their lives to share the gospel, many times amid persecution.
Fast forward to this year...
  • God has provided a home and a vehicle to drive thanks to my brother! I am really thankful for this blessing.
  • As many of you know, my kitty, Messerschmitt, has been plagued with a nasty ear infection. I am so thankful for the care he has been receiving from a local vet and friend.
  • I am also so thankful that I was able to bring my kitty with me from Germany! My brother calls him his little nephew. ;)
  • When I first arrived, I was really low on financial support and by God's grace, he has been supplying my financial needs through the generosity of so many sweet friends! If you are reading this and have taken part in providing financially, thank you!
  • I love meeting up with supporters and those who have been praying and supporting me! And hearing of how God has been working in each of your lives and the lives of your families! These stories have been incredible!
  • I am thankful for my brother and his neighbors who have been caring for Messerschmitt when I have been traveling to come and see many of you! This has been such a blessing!
  • This may seem crazy, but I have been thankful for opportunities to rake leaves this past fall! And hoping for opportunities to shovel some snow too!
  • I am thankful for a friend who saved puzzles for me! I have enjoyed playing with 1000 piece puzzles while listening to my favorite podcasts!
  • I am thankful for the opportunity to see two BFA friends, cousins, and a childhood friend while I was in Washington and Oregon! That was incredible!
  • I am thankful for the opportunity to see my friend, Becky and my little niece, and Becky's family last week in Arizona. And to see the Grand Canyon! God is so majestic, powerful, and sovereign over his creation!
  • I am thankful for all those I met up with in the Midwest over Thanksgiving! Friends of my parents, new friends, and all the ways that God is working in our lives as he draws us to himself!
  • I am thankful for friends in Germany, in Kandern and in Frankfurt, who are so supportive and encouraging from so far away.
  • I am thankful to be here in Colorado right now, and with friends here in the area. Going on runs with the Trail Sisters, morning walks with D and C, hikes with friends, an amazing For King and Country concert a few weeks ago, meeting up with people over dinner and tea/coffee. I am loving all of the opportunities to fellowship and re-connect with so many.
  • I am thankful to be in Bible Study Fellowship again this year! And studying Revelation with other dear ladies that God has placed in my group!
I know there is so much more and perhaps I will keep adding to this list as I think of what else God has done! Feel free to share in the comments what God has done in your life!
