And we are back!

Classes started up again this last Wednesday! The students are back and we are getting ready for midterms! BFA started off the new year with breakfast, worship, and Dr. Martha MacCullough from Carin University.

I am excited to finish off this second semester with my math students! I am still trying to find a balance within the lesson planning. I want to do fun activities but also need to be realistic about my time limitations. For now, I am following the curriculum plans developed a few years ago. When I have time, I want to organize the curriculum already created into a more concise format. It is hard to think creatively when there are disorganized files around:) I am excited about the rest of this year and continuing to teach math next year as well! God is so evidently working at BFA; in the lives of students, staff members, and the German community.

Recently, I asked a student about her family's mission field. They traveled from Brazil and are working with a local Spanish-speaking community. Eyes shining, she shared her passion for these people and their need for Christ. I got excited just listening to her!

I will be listening for more stories concerning my students and their parents roles in the mission field. Until next time, God bless!
