Middle School Dinner and Awards Ceremony!
These are my 8th graders! They are beautiful and handsome:) We had an 8th grade dinner and awards ceremony night which began with pictures! Parents lined up to take pictures of their children and were proud yet sad at how fast the years flew by!
We had a great year with a lot of fun surprises, difficult hurdles to overcome and new skills learned. Please continue to pray for these students as they move on to High School. A few are moving back to the US, but most will be back next year starting at the BFA High School! They are so excited! As teachers, it is hard to let them go, yet we are also excited for their future!
Finals are finished and the halls are empty. I walked to the middle school today to finish entering grades and clean up some files. We have a few more work days next week as we complete the year with our check-out list. Walking back, I could hear excited shouts from the pool as kids are splashing away. I am sure some of our students are there cooling off from the heat today!
The High School awards ceremony is tonight and graduation is tomorrow which I hear is an emotional time as students leave their friends. As missionary kids, this is another good-bye that must be made as they head off to college. These students have made deep friendships at BFA but may not see their friends again for a long time if ever. Please pray for these students as they embark on their future path with some anxiety but hopefully mostly excitement!
