The Middle School has a special program for our students called Chrysalis. It happens on Tuesday evenings at the High School auditorium and is led by a group of seniors and a few staff members over-seeing the events. Each senior has their own small group and helps to lead activities, devotions, worship, and time for prayer. Because of our full Tuesday nights, teachers give limited homework assignments and all students have a study hall period to complete their homework before school ends for the day. Some of our students are from Basel, Switzerland, just across the border. They stay with friends on Tuesday afternoons and sometimes overnight so they are able to participate in Chrysalis.
Study groups are excellent and make the work go faster when we can keep working and not socialize!
Check out the grins! See, they love school and studying!!
Here is one of my 8th grade math students! See how hard he is working!?
Making silly faces is a part of serious study and helps the brain cells rejuvenate! Many years of research have been made by this particular student! ;)
I love my 6th graders! They are so sweet and full of fun! They are hard workers and actually enjoy math! Yeah!!
Those brain cells are working hard and the synapses are connecting! Love these girls!
See these 6th grade girls? Do you see how hard they are working? Love the focused energy!
