Family reunions usually consist of picnics, too many bugs, discussion of relatives and family trees, and lots of talking! We spiced up our time together with a little run as well:)
I have posted a short couple of videos that document this momentous event.
While support raising can be stressful, tiring, and scary, I am finding that it also connects former friendships, builds stronger ties, strengthens my personal relationship with God, and also forms new friendships I would not want to miss!
I met up with these women last night and really enjoyed their fellowship and zany laughter! We had conversations about German slugs, Appleby, South Dakota, Ike's Chicken Shack in Brown's Valley, a small church in Ipswich, South Dakota without a secretary to answer their phone (tiny town:), and a $25 gift card to Applebee's! You are probably wishing you could have been there! I think this group needs to begin recording their conversations!
They also have a huge heart for members of the community and their church who are struggling in some way. We spent some time in prayer over individual people to end out night. Thank you ladies for an amazing night!
