"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
I am loving the adventure of support raising! More than raising
support, I am raising friends; deepening friendships, re-connecting with
friends from yesterday, and bathing every person and meeting in prayer. Thank
you for all of your love and support! I cannot do this alone! Everyone I have
talked to and met with has been so encouraging!!
I am also very thankful for coffee shops! They are a great place
to meet and camp out with lots of green tea! Not a coffee drinker, but love my
tea.
I am getting ready to head back into Minnesota on Friday! If you
live close to Osakis or Fergus Falls, I would love to meet up with you! I am
contacting many friends, relatives, and anyone I can think of. I am finding my
tenacious side and will continue to contact people and set up appointments to
share my ministry vision and financial goals. I love connecting with you and
hearing about your families, struggles, and praises! I also love sharing about
my mission and answering questions you may have.
Here is a little what my day looks like as I am traveling around
and meeting up with people:
I start off the morning with some support raising devotionals and
praying for those I am going to call and meet up with that day. I head to my
first appointment and set up. Between appointments, I am emailing, calling,
updating my blog, eating, prepping materials, reading for my ACSI (Association
for Christian Schools International) certification, and other little tasky
things. I try to get in a run or ride (when I get to Colorado!!!) at the end of
the day. I finish with more time in the Word and prayer for my supporters,
students, friends, family, and whatever is on my heart. Finally, I drop off
fast before starting over the next morning! Not every day looks exactly like
this format, but pretty close depending on scheduled appointments.
Thank you again for all of your encouragement and support! If I
have not connected with you yet, I hope to soon!
