Wonderland of Possibilities: Senior Girls Tea
Each year, Senior mom's hold a special tea for our Senior girls. This year, it was held at the Art Factory and themed circled around Alice in Wonderland and that all things are possible with God. The Art Factory is another ministry in Kandern reaching out to artists in the local area. Each Senior was given a small hat to wear for the tea which were hand-created by our moms. Our speaker shared some insights and thoughts from her own personal walk with God along with her love for these girls. Our journey with Christ is not always easy; it can be plagued with fear, anxiety, doubts but is also extremely rewarding and comforting when we look back and see his footprints in our lives.
We were served black tea, clotted cream, scones, sandwiches, chocolate cupcakes and more! The food was yummy, the speaker gave us some insights to consider as we move forward, and the fellowship was fun!
Matthew 15:26; "But Jesus looked at them and said, 'with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"
"For with God nothing will be impossible" Luke 1:37.
Different stages were set up for photos as small groups were getting photos with their leaders. One stage was set up with bookshelves filled with dusty old books and some Victorian chairs. Our girls decided on the fun chairs with some antique trunks, phones and silly mustaches.
My co-leader, Chrissy and myself! Chrissy's husband, Chris is the head of BFA's yearbook and they both do such an amazing job of connecting with the HS students at BFA! They are heading out on Home Assignment for 1 year and will be greatly missed. Their three young children exhibit as much energy and passion for life and people as their parents do! I am excited for our girls as they head off to University and Peru! Please pray for these young ladies as they head back to the US in the fall and experience American life as MK's. We also have one young German lady in our group who will be spending a year in Bolivia working with disadvantaged children. Thank you so much for praying for our girls! They have grown so much in the two years we have known them! I know part of it is due to your prayers! I will keep you posted in the fall as to what happens next for small groups....
