Every year, Black Forest Academy has Spiritual Emphasis Week (SEW) where a speaker and a worship team are invited to share their lives with our students. This year, our speaker, Danny Panter and his wife, Anna came from Texas with a worship team from their church. Danny is the minister and a former graduate from BFA ('96). We started everyday during the week of September 12-16 with a chapel service that included a worship team and Danny sharing from the Word. Tuesday night was the kickoff for the high school small groups and our middle school program called Chrysalis. Adults in our community volunteer to lead small groups of high school students in small Bible studies and invest in the lives of our students. For Chrysalis, our seniors lead small groups of middle school students and invest into their lives.
Our speaker, Danny, spoke about Peter and how his life was dramatically changed from his time spent with Christ. Danny's messages were powerful and challenging! Peter went through a dramatic transformation from stubborn and hard-headed to steadfast and the rock for the coming church!
Here are a few pictures from our week!
Danny presented a bouquet of flowers to Ms. Jill Young who has been serving at BFA for over 20 years! He shared how she made a difference in his life and wanted to show his appreciation!
Danny's wife, Anna, shared her testimony one morning. With parents who were unavailable, Anna was left to herself much of her childhood and became very independent. She was also very lonely and gave her life to Christ as a young adult.
Joshua shared his love for his family and how God was there for them through sickness and death.
