This past quarter, I have been teaching an Art elective. At the Middle School, we have different electives that students can choose. This past quarter, choices included Art, flag football, robotics, Homework club, Choir, Drama, History Trivia, and Chapel Team.
In Art, we have explored different elements of art. Some of our projects included some art appreciation, a collagraph, printing off the collagraph, Gustav Klimt (glue black and gold squares then color/paint designs), magazine montage, and ending with an impressionist background.
Below are a few photos of students in action!
Yesterday, we had an art show to celebrate our hard work and showcase our creative talent. Students asked if they could bring and show art pieces they worked on outside of the class. Definitely! A couple of students even brought some digital images! Teachers, classmates, and a few parents came to see what we have been working on. I have included a few pictures from our Art Show last Thursday! Enjoy!
And one more to give you a glimpse of the zesty energy and silliness of middle school students!
