Welcome to Science 7! For our last unit on Sound, I chose to have the students take part in a project instead of doing the coursebook unit. We began by reading material on sound and answering questions and defining terms related to sound. Then we explored sound by investigating an online simulation, reading more information about sound withing the music simulation, answered questions and playing with the simulation. Finally, we read the instructions for students to create their own musical instruments. They researched online for an instrument they would like to create. They had to draw their instrument, write down materials they would need and check their plan with me before they could begin. What you will see below are moments where students are creating their instruments. When they completed their instruments, they performed them in front of the class and shared a bit of their idea.
