Science 7 Digestive System Projects!

A few years ago, my 7th grade science students created 3-D digestive systems. They learned so much and their projects were so creative that I decided to implement the same project again with this year's students. There are three parts to the project. Students create a glossary that lists and defines the 8 vocabulary terms they will use to create their 3-D model. The second part has students writing a paragraph about the importance and function of the digestive system. The third part is more hands-on where students use materials to create a 3-D model that has a title and is labeled. Below are 14 different ideas presented by 14 different students. Enjoy!

The author of the project above took a picture of a classmate to place on top of her model for the face. :)

This student created an apron and wore it for her presentation. She sewed her digestive system parts onto her apron.

This student used clay or Playdoh to create her digestive system.

Candy! This project smells really good! I set all the projects on and around a table just outside the classroom. Hopefully other students don't eat her digestive system!

Here is another project that was sewed together. I love her labels too! Very clear and colorful!

This student created a marble maze that mostly worked! Another student was attempting to also create a marble maze but decided to do something else. I love all of my students' creative ideas!
