Support raising is a beautiful faith building journey! It can be hard as there are so many unknowns as to how God will move and when. Of course, I would love for the journey to be a short one, yet, I am set to God's schedule and not my own.
"God is always doing 10,000 things in your life, and you may be aware of 3 of them." (Quote by John Piper). I love this quote! Shortly after getting back in the US, I received an email from TeachBeyond sharing that my support is really low and that the funds transfered to my bank account for September will be affected. My first reaction is fear and anxiety but then I had to remind myself to stop and pray. I knew my support was low and God also knew even before I did! So pray I did. I also invited those in my support base to also pray for God's provision.
I had been writing emails and inviting supporters and those in my database who are in Colorado to meet up with me and hear about my ministry at Black Forest Academy. I started setting up meetings and praying over those I would be meeting with in the next few weeks. Little did I know, that God had been working out the details and prayers were/are being answered!
If you can imagine a triangle with God at the top and at the two bottom corners are myself and potential or current supporters. My relationship with God is vertical and I am asking for him to supply all of my needs. I am trusting the potential and current supporters also have a vertical relationship with God and are asking Him for wisdom on where they should invest their time and resources. I don't know the conversations that God is having with those whom I am meeting. What I can do is share about the ministry that God has placed on my heart and invite those listening to prayerfully consider joining my ministry at Black Forest Academy.
As I have been meeting up with people, I have so enjoyed the sweet conversations and the encouragement, the surprise gifts, and prayers. God has truly been working behind the scenes and I have been in awe these past few weeks as to how He is providing!
From the commitments already given and processed, I am needing to raise $554.61 more per month to be at full support. This does not count recent commitments given that are being processed. I am waiting to see what comes through on my dashboard and will subtract those amounts.
Thank you for your continued prayers as God continues to work behind the scenes while I meet with people to share and invite.
