Life at the Middle School - Day 2

Math can be hard at times, but we can do it! Here are the 8th graders combing like terms and doing some independent work with equations.

As you see below, I found an idea online about creating math stories by working equations. There were several stations where students chose an equation to solve and matched the answer with a word phrase to write in their story. I have given you a few of their stories below...
"Ms. Key (Bible and French teacher) was scuba diving with the Queen of England wearing top hats at Disney World during Spring Break on a submarine while climbing Pike's Peak because monkeys eat bananas!"
"Mrs. Watson (principal) was scuba diving with Queen of England wearing stilettos at Eis Cafe (local ice cream shop) during Spring Break in a police car while swimming in a sea of piranhas because the oxygen is all gone!"
"Miss B (Science teacher) was rock hunting with Neil Armstrong wearing clown wigs at Disney World last Saturday on the school bus while swimming in a sea of piranhas because the toilet is plugged!"
After 1st and 2nd period, our students have a 10 minute break in their morning to run off their morning steam! As you can see, the need to move is strong!!

Stay tuned for more events at the middle school at BFA!
