Thank you family and friends for all of your prayers, encouragement, and support! God is working in mighty ways! He is providing the funds and support needed so I can return to Black Forest Academy on Monday! Of the $3,138 financial goal, God has provided $2,682 which means I am at 85%! I still need $456 in monthly support! Would you continue to pray that God will provide over the amount that is needed? The math cohort fund for the institutes is covered! God is so amazing and I am still in awe over his provision! You are a part of this ministry towards students at Black Forest Academy! Thank you!
This past summer has been so amazing and I would love to share some support raising highlights!
My first stop was near Ashville, North Carolina to visit with my cousin and his wife! My cousin introduced me to an amazing body of believers at the Feed and Seed which also has amazing bluegrass bands playing on Friday and Saturday nights in Arden, NC! These new friends encircled me and proclaimed me a part of their family! They listened to stories from BFA, asked wonderful questions, prayed over me and encouraged me as I moved on the the Midwest. I cannot wait to see them again, my cousins included!
My days are enveloped in prayer as I seek God's direction and His provision! I have been exercising faith throughout this summer as I have been meeting up with friends and family. God has placed small surprises into my days which include friends of friends asking for information about BFA and wanting an appointment to hear about the school, new friends from local businesses who are now on the prayer and support team, finding addresses of appointments when I am unfamiliar with the area, encouraging words from so many of you, and even a big surprise which I had to sit down for first!
In Watertown, I met a wonderful group of ladies who are a part of my friends Bible study. They asked for me to share about BFA and our conversation morphed into other topics from the school to Appleby, SD to the Appleby school to remembered teachers who made a difference to Applebees to gift certificates to Grover, SD to crazy people who run towards goose pond by accident to the local church ministries to prayer requests to Ipswich,SD to Ike's Chicken Shack from Brown's Valley to restaurants in the middle of nowhere in SD to finally actually praying! There was a lot of giggling and gut-wrenching laughter in between each topic as sarcastic comments continued to slide in between topics! And there really is an Appleby, SD and an Ipswich, SD! If you are curious, maybe it is time for a road trip!
I have learned so much this summer and grown in so many ways! My confidence in God's provision has grown along with much knowledge and wisdom from experiences in support raising. Prayer is so powerful and is what motivates me to keep going! There are so many stories to share from this summer and I hope you are encouraged by each one! Two years ago, a friend encouraged me to keep a journal of my experiences. Since writing is not my favorite activity, my journal happens to be my blog!

Pray for students and families as they travel to BFA to begin school!
Pray for teachers as they develop routines in the classroom and in their personal lives as life gets busy very quickly!
